Line-up of Nintendo 3DS Games Revealed

Nintendo_3DSThe line-up of the highly anticipated handheld game console Nintendo 3DS has been revealed.

The new device boasts of producing “3D effects without the need of any special glasses” (a process called autostereoscopy).

Nintendo 3DS will hit Japan February 26 with a cost of 25,000 JPY, in Europe on March 25, in the United States on March 27 (cost of 249.99 USD) and Australia on March 31 (cost of 349.95 AUD).

The games that will be launched within the next few months are:

  • Kao Shooting (JP only)
  • Layton Kyouju to Kiseki no Kamen (JP only)
  • Lego Star Wars III: The Clone Wars (except JP)
  • Madden NFL Football (US only)
  • Nintendogs + Cats: French Bulldog & New Friends
  • Nintendogs + Cats: Shiba Inu & New Friends (Golden Retriever)
  • Nintendogs + Cats: Toy Poodle & New Friends
  • Pilotwings Resort (US, EU)
  • Pro Evolution Soccer 2011 (AU only)
  • Raving Rabbids: Travel in Time (except US)
  • Rayman 3D (except JP)
  • Resident Evil: The Mercenaries 3D (EU only)

Japanese gaming magazine Famitsu has given Nintendogs + Cats with the highest score among those listed above at 38/40.

Other highly anticipated video games for 3DS that will be released within the year are Kid Icarus: Uprising, Mario Kart 3D and the updated 3D version of one of the most critically acclaimed and beloved games of all time The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time.

Nintendo 3DS has backward compatibility with Nintendo DS games.
