Inklet trackpad tablet app for MacBook

Ten One Design, the makers of Pogo Stylus and Pogo Sketch doodling devices came up with the Inklet trackpad tablet app for MacBook. The app can convert your existing MacBook multitouch trackpad into a drawing tablet with the aid of Pogo Sketch.

Inklet allows your trackpad to emulate a pen tablet while the Pogo Sketch lets you experience a full tablet experience by adding pressure sensitivity recognition. It means applying more pressure to the trackpad gives you thicker stokes.

Inklet can also be used as a hand recognition tool with advanced algorithm technique for palm rejection. It just basically detects unwanted trackpad touches so you don’t have to worry about touching the trackpad and mess up your work.

The Inklet trackpad tablet app sells for $24.95. You can try their demo here to give it a try.

I believe it’s not a total replacement for a Wacom pen tablet but it’s definitely a cheaper alternative.
