Stroller maker Maclaren expects to recall 1 million umbrella strollers because of safety issues. According to reports, there’s a potential risk of major finger injuries to children.

Maclaren is making the recall after 12 injuries were reported. The Maclaren stroller recall applies to all umbrella strollers sold since 1999, according to New York Daily news.

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, Maclaren is providing consumers and retailers free repair kits which will cover a joint on the umbrella stroller’s hinge mechanism.
