Magic beat Cavaliers to make NBA finals


The Orlando Magic made it to the NBA finals after dispatching the Cleveland Cavaliers with a 103-90 victory in game 6 on Saturday, clinching the Eastern Conference finals at 4-2.

Dwight Howard finished with a personal playoff best 40 points and 14 rebounds for Orlando, while Rashard Lewis added 18.

The Magic will be making their first finals appearance since 1995.

LeBron James, who was held pointless in the second quarter, scored 25 points for the Cavs, while Delonte West added 22 and Mo Williams 17.

The 2009 NBA finals begin Thursday at the Staples Center in Los Angeles.
