Maria Shriver Divorces Arnold Schwarzenegger

Looks like there won’t be any reconciliation between former California first couple Arnold Schwarzenegger and Maria Shriver.

Shriver, 55, filed for divorce from Schwarzenegger on Friday, nearly two months after they announced that they were separating. The couple announced their separation on May 9 after the 63-year-old former California governor admitted to Shriver that he fathered a child ten years ago with housekeeper Mildred Baena. According to Usmagazine, Shriver cited “irreconcilable differences” as reason for the divorce. Shriver is reportedly seeking spousal support aside from a joint legal and physical custody of their two minor children.

Schwarzenegger, who also have two adult daughters with Shriver, had said in May that he was taking full responsibility for his actions. “There are no excuses and I take full responsibility for the hurt I have caused. I have apologized to Maria, my children and my family. I am truly sorry,” he said in a statement released in the aftermath of the shocking announcement.
