Marie Osmond’s Son Laid to Rest
Michael Bryan Osmond, the 18-year-old adopted son of Marie Osmond, has been brought to his final resting place. Marie Osmond spoke during the funeral service at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Provo, Utah, thanking Michael Bryan’s biological mother, who was among the hundreds of people who attended the mass. “I honor his birthmother who’s here today, who gave me the greatest gift. Thank you for those beautiful 18 years,” Osmond said referring to Michael Bryan’s biological mother.
Michael Bryan’s brothers and sisters also spoke during the service, so did Marie’s brother Donny, who had to fight back tears as he recalled his memories of his nephew. Donny also offered sympathy to his sister.
Michael Bryan jumped to his death on February 26. He left a note saying that his battle with severe depression had made him miserable. A then-16-year-old Michael Bryan entered rehab in 2007 to treat depression. Then, just last year, Marie was quoted as saying that her son was on the way to recovery.
