Marion Cotillard Gives Birth
Academy Award-winner Marion Cotillard is a brand new mother.
The French actress gave birth to her son, Marcel, in Paris on Thursday. The baby is the first for the 35-year-old “Inception” star, as well as for her partner, actor-director Guillaume Canet. A source told People.com that both Cotillard and her son are doing fine. “Mother and baby are fine,” the source said.
Cotillard and Canet have been together since 2007, but the couple appear to have no plans of tying the knot despite the arrival of their first child. “They haven’t disclosed any plans concerning marriage,” a source told People.
Cotillard won an Oscar best actress trophy in 2007 for La Vien En Rose. She has appeared in many Hollywood films, including last year’s blockbuster, “Inception,” where Cotillard played the character of Mallorie “Mal” Cobb. Canet, on the other hand, is best known outside of France for the film “The Beach,” where he, incidentally, acted opposite Leonardo DiCaprio—Cotillard’s “Inception” co-star.
