Martha Stewart Moves to Hallmark Channel
“It’s so important for us to be available on TV when our viewers can watch us, and this enables The Martha Stewart Show to be on at 10 a.m., nationwide, every single day,” Stewart said.
Her company, Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia Inc. (MSLO), will also be producing daytime and primetime programming for the cable network. A total of 2.5 hours of programming will be provided by MSLO to Hallmark.
The show is currently distributed by NBC Universal Domestic Television Distribution. It is currently at its fifth season. It will also continue to be broadcasted in Fine Living Network until June.
Her series Everyday Food will continue to air on PBS and Emeril Lagasse will continue to work with ION. The exclusive rights is for The Martha Stewart Show.
Stewart’s move from broadcast to cable is following the steps of Oprah Winfrey.
