I think you’re right litonucum. Manny really does have a huge advantage. Then again, I don’t know too much about their history, cuz I’m pretty new to this sport. But, this doesn’t seem fair to me. My dad is going to be FREAKING OUT! lol

What the hell are you talking about. Cotto wasn't suckered into the catchweight. It doesn't realy matter. Cotto agreed and signed the contract to be fought at 145 lbs. Cotto came in at 158 lbs. the day of the fight!

Manny is the 147lb champ, therefore he is defending his title at the correct weight Litonucum. Not a catch weight. Cotto was suckered into the catchweight by his promoter Bob Arum and handicap king Freddie Roach. They wanted Cotto to be weakened by the struggle to make weight. Manny is the welterweight champ and doesn't need his handlers to cheat for him…right.

Why are you saying it's been finalized when they only signed the bout agreement to be held on March 13, 2010. Both fighters haven't signed the contract yet.

one point that manny has to make it before the election is that, if he loses in election again it would be a big physical and also psychological affect on his fight against mayweather.

I don't know why Freddie Roach agreed on the catch weight of 147lbs, and the fight will happen in March. I read at one time Roach wants Manny to train at least 3 months for this fight. I think 146
is the ideal catch weight and $5M each pound over the limit weight. Manny is giving to much weight advantage to Mayweather with this deal. In my opinion, I would rather see this fight happen
after the Philippine election.
