Mel Gibson Set for “Hangover 2” Cameo
Mel Gibson is set to take a much-needed break from his currently tumultuous legal battle with former girlfriend Oksana Grigorieva.
Reports said Gibson has signed on to make a cameo appearance in the upcoming sequel to the 2009 comedy hit “The Hangover,” where the 54-year-old actor will play a tattoo artist. According to the Hollywood Reporter, Gibson’s character is “pivotal” to the story of “The Hangover 2,” which would reunite original stars Justin Bartha, Bradley Cooper, Zach Galifianakis, and Ed Helms.
Director Todd Phillips recently confirmed that the film will be set in Los Angeles and Bangkok, Thailand. “The Hangover 2,” which began shooting this month, is set for a Memorial Day weekend release next year.
Aside from “The Hangover 2,” Gibson is also set to co-star with friend Jodie Foster in “The Beaver.” The film’s release has been on hold following the controversy between Gibson and Grigorieva, who are involved in a bitter custody battle for their daughter.
