Sunday-school teacher Melissa Huckaby arrested for murder of 8-year-old Sandra Cantu

melissa-huckaby-mugshotTracy, California Police have arrested Sunday-school teacher Melissa Huckaby for kidnapping and murder charges of an 8-year-old California girl Sandra Cantu early Saturday.

Melissa Huckaby, 28, was arrested at 11:55 p.m. Friday after she drove to the Tracy Police Department to be interviewed. She was booked at 3:25 a.m. today at San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp, where she is being held without bail.

According to Tracy, California police Sgt. Tony Sheneman, Sandra’s body was found Monday, stuffed into a suitcase in a dairy-farm pond and had been missing since March 27. The suitcase where the girl’s body was held belonged to Huckaby, Sheneman added.

There’s still no clear motive disclosed in the murder.

    I think “Melissa Huckaby ” should be put to death if she is found guilty for the Murder of Sandra Cantu.

    This is Horrible that a Sunday school teacher could commit such a crime. “What about thou shall not kill”

    Obviously I believe that this church forgot to run a criminal back ground check and a therapy test on this person.

    All Churches should run these tests before allowing any one person Male or Female to represent a church.

    Well she shall not only have to pay for her crimes but if found guilty she should have to appear before national television giving her reason why.

    I am so sorry this had to happen too her parents and I hope that justice is served. My heart goes out to all her family and friends. My Family and I will be praying for all of you.

    I didn't get the connection with the title “Sunday School Teacher” Was she the teacher of the missing girl or did the media simply focus on the detail of her life that would grab more attention?
