Michael Fassbender to star in, co-produce “Assassin’s Creed” movie
Michael Fassbender, the guy who played Magneto in X-Men: First Class and the android David in Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, will star in the forthcoming big-screen adaptation of the Assassin’s Creed video game series.
“Michael Fassbender was our first choice,” Jean-Julien Baronnet, CEO of Paris-based Ubisoft Motion Pictures, said. “Michael is an extremely smart, talented, versatile and committed actor.”
According to reports, the 35-year-old German actor will not only don the iconic hooded cloak, he will also co-produce the movie through his production company, DMC Film. However, it’s unclear whether Fassbender will be playing Altair ibn-La’Ahad, Ezio Auditore da Firenze, Connor Kenway, or Desmond Miles. The 2012 BAFTA Awards nominee will play the lead role, but it’s too early to say exactly which character that will be.
How about you, which actor would you like to see play Desmond in the Assassin’s Creed movie?
