While the gaming world clamors for the release of a new Xbox generation console after the announcement of Project Natal, Microsoft denies these implications, saying that the new Natal controller system will work with existing Xbox 360 consoles.

Project Natal was announced in the Electronic Entertainment Expo 2009 (E3 2009) as a new controller system that will inexplicably rival the system made popular by the Nintendo Wii. Natal uses motion, audio and video sensor technology to track gamers and their environments, allowing gamers to interact with games through physical movement, voice commands and the like.

Natal does not have an official release date as of yet.
