“American Idol” fans enjoyed an all-star entertainment Wednesday night featuring performances by two of the hottest recording artists today– Jennifer Hudson and Miley Cyrus.

Hudson did not win the show, but she has clearly proven to be one of the most successful alumni of the Fox reality series. The 27-year-old Oscar winner performed a song from her latest CD .

Miley, dressed in a white beaded gown offered “The Climb,” soundtrack from Hannah Montana: The Movie—the No.1 movie in America. The song is also on the U.S. pop, country and adult contemporary charts.

Meanwhile, Jamie Foxx has apologized to the teen star for a radio routine in which he urged the 16-year-old to “make a sex tape and grow up.”

When the incident was brought up on the “Tonight” show Tuesday, Foxx apologized and said: “I didn’t mean it maliciously…. sometimes as comedians, you know, we go a little too far.”
