Miley Cyrus on Fake Kiss: “Get Over It!”
The controversial Miley Cyrus has replied via her website to the issue regarding her faking a lesbian kiss during her performance in Britain’s Got Talent. She believes that she did nothing wrong and that there are many stories and topics out there that are more important to focus and talk about.
Her statement is as follows: “I promise you I did not kiss her and it is ridiculous that two entertainers cant even rock out with each other without the media making it some type of story. I really hope my fans are not disappointed in me because the truth is I did nothing wrong. I got up there and did my job which is to perform to the best of my ability. I just want to put an end to this right now and just say one thing to everyone out there making this performance such a big deal.”
The singer took matters in her own hand. This is probably so that it will not get blown out of proportion the same way that had happened with the man-to-man kiss made by Adam Lambert last year in American Music Awards or with the Madonna-Britney Spears-Christina Aguilera kiss in the 2003 MTV Video Music Awards.
Cyrus, 17, was performing her latest single Can’t Be Tamed during an episode of Britain’s Got Talent when she suddenly grabbed a female dancer, dipped her and feinted a lip-lock with her.
One of her last statements went (in capital letters), “GET OVER IT! NOTHING HAPPENED. THERE ARE WAYYYYYYY MORE IMPORTANT THINGS IN THE WORLD.”
Some expressed opinions that she did have a point.
