Nap Nanny Recliners Recalled

Nap Nanny portable baby recliners were recently asked by the makers to be recalled.

Reports say Baby Matters LLC issued a recall of their 30,000 recliners after the death of a four-month-old girl from Michigan who allegedly died in a Nap Nanny that was used in a crib.

Currently looking into the case, the US Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC) says the girl was found between the Nap Nanny and the crib bumper. Moreover, there have already been reports of children hanging or falling out of the Nap Nanny even with the harness on.

Those sold between January 2009 to July 2010 are being recalled, because the first generation Nap Nanny is apparently without ā€œDā€ rings. Consumers who have brought these are advised to stop using the recliners and contact the company for an $80 voucher. Meanwhile, Consumers with a second generation Nap Nanny should stop using the product and go to the company’s Web site for new product instructions and warnings.
