National High School Heisman Winners will be selected in December

Since 1994, high school student-athletes have been honoured with Wendy’s High School Heisman Award. This year, the national finalists will be announced on ESPN2 on December 7.

Wendy’s High School Heisman Award is a program meant to recognize the most esteemed high school seniors for the excellence in athletics, academics as well as community involvement. Over the years more than 400 000 high school seniors have been honoured, people who excel in something.

To find the right honourees and to recognize them, each year Wendy’s High School Heisman Program teams up with The Heisman Memorial Trophy – partnership made to ensure the national recognition for their achievements.

The Wendy’s High School Heisman was named after a football coach John Heisman and is sponsored by Wendy’s Restaurants. Wendy’s has always had a view that in addition to being a quick service company, their purpose is to help the nation’s youth reach their potential, realize their dreams.
