Los Angeles Lakers vs Boston Celtics Game 5 Live Stream: The Boston Celtics managed to put the Lakers in danger in the Finals after a 92-86 Game 5 win in Boston to grab a 3-2 series lead.
The key to Boston’s Game 5 success was their defense, not to mention they shot 56 percent from the field that night.
“We scrapped, we got them in the half court for the most part, and that’s the type of game we like,” said Boston forward Paul Pierce. “It would be tough for us to beat them if they go out and score 120 points.”
The Los Angeles Lakers on the other hand allowed 46 points in the paint in an 87 possession game.
“Defensively, we weren’t very good at all,” Kobe Bryant said. “Last game it was the fourth quarter, this game it was the third quarter. We didn’t get any stops. They got layup after layup after layup, and you can’t survive a team that shoots 56 percent.”
Game 6 of the 2010 NBA Finals will be played at Staples Center in Los Angeles Tuesday night. The game starts at 9:00 p.m. ET.
UPDATE: Kobe Bryant scored 26 points to help the Los Angeles Lakers beat the Boston Celtics 89-67 and send the NBA Finals into a seventh and deciding game.
