NBA: Los Angeles Lakers vs. Miami Heat

The Los Angeles Lakers and the Miami Heat will both be gunning for a win tonight (10:30 p.m. ET) when they meet at the Staples Center for yet another exciting NBA action.

It’s the kind of showdown that fans love to see— two basketball superstars like Kobe Bryant and Dwyane Wade going at each other.

Not only is Kobe having one of his best seasons but his Lakers have the best record in the league. They have won seven straight games coming into tonight’s game and have the undeniable look of a squad that is on a mission to get back to the Finals.

Miami, on the other hand, lost for the third time in four games Thursday in Denver when Carmelo Anthony scored 22 points to lead the Nuggets to another victory.

UPDATE: The Lakers needed a buzzer-beating basket from Kobe Bryant to beat Miami, 108-107. The LA guard finished with 33 points, seven rebounds and three assists. You can watch Kobe’s buzzer-beating three-pointer here.
