South’s number one seed Duke University managed to win a 78-57 victory over West Virginia Saturday in the semifinals with the help of Jon Scheyer’s 23 points. Number five seed Butler, on the other hand, escaped the semis to go to the championship after defeating Michigan State in a low scoring ball game 52-50.

“I think they’re one of the best teams in the country,” Duke coach Mike Krzyzewski said of Duke. “I think a Cinderella would be more if somebody had eight or nine losses and pulled some upsets.”

Duke’s last trip to the finals was six years ago while their last title was in 2001. They defeated Arizona 82-72 under coach Mike Krzyzewski. If Duke defeats Butler on Monday, coach Krzyzewski will get his fourth national championship as Blue Devils head coach.

Butler University came strong this season and has won 25 straight games while Duke won nine games in a row. This game is their last shot for the National Championship, there’s no next game, it’s do or die.
