NCAA Final Four 2010: Butler vs. Michigan State
Two teams that weren’t expected to reach this year’s edition of the Final Four will battle it out for the first spot in the NCAA National Championship when the Butler Bulldogs meet the Michigan State Spartans tonight at the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
The Bulldogs edged No. 2 seed Kansas State, 63-56, to advance to their maiden Final Four appearance, while the Spartans defeated Tennessee, 70-69, to reach this stage of the tournament.
Butler’s defense has carried them so far, but they need other aspects of their game to work against Michigan State. What if Butler wins tonight and advances to the championship match? Imagine the memories the Bulldogs would create.
The game starts at 6:05 p.m. ET.
UPDATE: The Butler Bulldogs advanced to the national championship for the first time with a 52-50 win over Michigan State.
