New Michael Jackson Album Set for December Release
Michael Jackson fans will have another item to add to their collections next month as Epic Records has confirmed that a new album by the King of Pop is due to hit record stores on December 14.
In a press release posted on the official Michael Jackson site, the record label and the estate of Jackson announced that “Michael,” the first posthumous album from the singer, will contain new songs that the pop icon had recorded but were never released. One of these songs is the album’s first single, “Breaking News,” which Jackson recorded in 2007. “Breaking News” will be streamed live for a week from Jackson’s official website starting November 8.
“Michael” is the first Jackson album to contain new songs since 2001’s “Invincible,” which produced the Billboard Hot 100 Singles top-ten hit “You Rock My World.”
“Now, through the unique stories that will be told about the songs that comprise ‘Michael,’ fans will get mind-blowing insight into how this artist worked,” the press release read.
