NFC Divisional Playoffs: Arizona Cardinals vs. New Orleans Saints
Cardinals vs. Saints: After clinching the NFC South title, The New Orleans Saints (13-3) will host their debut NFC Divisional Playoffs game against the Arizona Cardinals at the Louisiana Superdome Saturday, January 16.
New Orleans became the first team in NFL history to go 0-3 after winning their first 13 games. But their 13-0 start was a franchise single-season record for wins and consecutive victories.
Arizona will enter the game on Saturday after a 51-45 overtime win against the Green Bay Packers in the NFC Wild Card Playoff at University of Phoenix Stadium, the highest-scoring game in playoff history.
These two teams have never played each other in the playoffs. Their last meeting was Dec. 16, 2007, at the Superdome, with the Saints winning the match, 31-24. This fixture would be a difficult one for both of them with the Cardinals being the defending NFC champions and the Saints being the number one postseason team in the conference.
Arizona Cardinals vs. New Orleans Saints will kickoff at 4:30 PM ET (1:30 PM PT).
UPDATE: The New Orleans Saints beat the Arizona Cardinals 45-14 to advance to the NFL’s divisional championship games. The Saints will host the winner of Sunday’s Dallas Cowboys vs. Minnesota Vikings match.
