NFL Week 14: Arizona Cardinals vs. San Francisco 49ers
Posted by Sherwin

The San Francisco 49ers are in desperate straits heading into tonight’s game at Candlestick Park against the Arizona Cardinals, who can clinch the NFC West with a victory.
The Cardinals are coming off a big home win against Brett Favre and the Vikings, crushing Minnesota 30-17. They have been the dominant franchise in the West, having won 10 of their last 11 against division rivals.
San Francisco, on the other hand, is 2-5 in its last seven matches and was defeated 17-20 by Seattle. A victory tonight keeps the 49ers technically alive, but only barely, for playoff consideration.
The match kicks-off at 8:30 p.m. ET.
UPDATE: The Cardinals threw away a chance to clinch a second straight division title after the 49ers defeated them 24-9. The Niners forced 7 turnovers and Alex Smith made two touchdown passes for San Francisco, who kept alive their own slim playoff chances.
