The Dallas Cowboys’ lone home game in December will take place this afternoon (4:15 p.m. ET) against the unbeaten San Diego Chargers.

This is going to be an exciting match because two of the league’s top tight ends, Dallas’ Jason Witten and the San Diego’s Antonio Gates, will be on the field together today for the first time in a regular-season game.

Today the pressure is clearly on Tony Romo’s side and based on recent history, the Cowboys do not respond well to pressure in the final month of the season.

A victory over San Diego, a team that hasn’t lost in December since 2005, would go a long ways toward giving the Cowboys confidence they can reverse their late-season woes.

UPDATE: San Diego continued Dallas’ December woes with a 20-17 victory at Cowboys Stadium. The Chargers won their eighth straight and moved to the verge of a playoff berth.
