NFL Week 15: Arizona Cardinals vs. Detroit Lions
Posted by Sherwin

The Detroit Lions long ago kissed their playoff chances goodbye, but the Arizona Cardinals will be entering this fixture with an opportunity to clinch a second straight NFC West championship and trip to the postseason. First, they must beat the Lions, and then hope that Philadelphia beat the Niners.
The Lions have had a lot of lows this season, as their 2-11 record would show, but last week’s defeat at Baltimore may have been the bottom of the barrel.
Unfortunately, the Cardinals will be without Neil Rackers after the 33-year-old kicker missed practice all week with a right groin injury. Mike Nugent will play in place of Rackers.
Nugent was released by the Bucs on Oct. 5, a day after he missed two field goals in a three-point loss to the Redskins.
The match kicks-off at 1:30 p.m. ET.
UPDATE: The Cardinals clinched the NFC West title and a playoff berth when they beat the Lions and San Francisco lost to Philadelphia.
Kurt Warner threw a 5-yard touchdown pass to Anquan Boldin with 1:54 left, lifting Arizona to a 31-24 victory over Detroit.
