Pittsburgh Penguins vs Montreal Canadiens Live Stream Game 5

Penguins vs. Canadiens Game 5 Live Stream: The Montreal Canadiens scored two third-period goals on Thursday to beat the Pittsburgh Penguins, 3-2, and tie the NHL Eastern Conference semifinal series at two games apiece. Maxim Lapierre, Brian Gionta and Tom Pyatt scored for the eighth-seeded Canadiens, while Jaroslav Halak made 33 saves. Maxime Talbot and Chris Kunitz scored two minutes apart early in the first period for Pittsburgh.

These two teams had alternated victories since the Pens took Game 1 on home ice by a 6-3 score. But tonight, the defending Stanley Cup champions will try to break a stalemate when they host the Habs for Game 5 at Mellon Arena. However, home ice has not meant anything to either one of these clubs, and aside from the opening game blowout by Pittsburgh, all of these contests have been very close.

Meanwhile, Penguins veteran winger Bill Guerin will return to action for tonight’s game after not playing in the previous two contests with an undisclosed injury. The 39-year-old has three goals and five assists in eight games and is expected to rejoin his linemates, Sidney Crosby and Chris Kunitz.

“Everything is good,” said Guerin, who provided no detail on his absence. “I feel great. It was something that sidelined me for a while. But, I’m 100 percent and I feel as good as I can.”

The match kicks-off at 7:00 p.m. ET.

UPDATE: The Pens beat the Canadiens 2-1 to grab a 3-2 lead in the best-of-seven series. You can watch Game 6 HERE.
