Not a stellar fight, both were plodders. However, given the challenge in front of Haye, he performed better and delivered the damage. His baiting and feints were effective in rounds 1 – 4, but he looked a little worn in the middle rounds. By the final few, he came on again and the fight was essentially even. What tipped the balance was likely the finesse Haye had in 11 and 12, culminating in some serious damage on Valuev. The Russian was rocked in the final seconds and referee Pabon pulled them apart before Haye could finish the job. In conclusion, interesting match and I look forward to seeing more performances by Haye. For a smaller man, he's tremendously versatile and I believe that we might just be starting to see his full potential.

Well done to David, however, apart a dont think he should have won. Yes he rocked Valuev in the last round, but didnt seem to do as much work as him during the others.
