Not “Bankable” Lindsay Lohan Fired from Movie
Lindsay Lohan‘s bad luck continues. TMZ reports that producers of the upcoming film “The Other Side” have decided to drop Lohan because they were not convinced by the 23-year-old actress’s bankability.
“The Other Side” director and writer David Michaels said the “team simply chose to move on from Lindsay and we’ll soon be announcing a replacement.” Lohan, who was cast in the film in May last year, was supposed to star alongside Woody Harrelson, Giovanni Ribisi, Dave Matthews, Alanis Morissette, and Anjelica Huston. Lohan was supposed to play the lead role of an overachieving science student sent to an island where she later uncovers its dark past.
Lohan’s firing marks the third time that producers had to change the film’s lead actress. The leading role was first offered to Katie Holmes but she had to drop the film due to scheduling conflict. Then, the late Brittany Murphy quit even before production began.
