NY Bomb Suspect Pleads Guilty
Faisal Shahzad attempted to ignite a car in Times Square last May 1. The 30-year-old suspect is a naturalized American but he was born in Pakistan. He pleaded guilty for 10 different counts of weapons and terrorism charges and attempted use of a weapon of mass destruction.
Shahzad said that he wanted to plead guilty and 100 times more. The reason is that he wanted the United States to know that unless it leaves Muslim lands like Iraq, Afghanistan and Pakistan, it will continue to receive attacks.
After completely telling how he had managed to leave the car with the bombs, he said that he intentionally chose the site to do maximum damage.
The suspect then said that he had contact with the Taliban, spent 40 days with them while he attended bomb training.
