Pacquiao vs. Hatton: Who will become the pound-for-pound king? (live video)
Number 1 pound-for-pound boxer Manny Pacquiao goes to war against IBO junior welterweight champion Ricky Hatton Saturday night (Sunday morning in Manila) in a 12-round title fight at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
The Filipino boxing sensation returns to the ring much the same fighter he was five months ago. The big difference now, though, is that everybody expects him to win.
Majority of respondents (66 percent) to an on-line poll believe Pacquiao will stop ‘The Hitman’ before the end of their 12-round match.
14 percent of the voters said Hatton will stop Manny by KO or TKO. 11 percent of the respondents believed the Filipino will prevail by points, while 4 percent said the Briton would score a victory by decision. The remaining 4 percent think the fight will end in a draw.
Pacquiao is gunning for his sixth world title counting the 2003 Ring Magazine featherweight belt he won when he defeated Marco Antonio Barrera.
A victory by Hatton will cement his place in the Hall of Fame and prove his standing as one of the best fighters Britain has seen.
