The 122nd Tournament of Roses Parade, a festival of flower-covered floats and marching bands, is scheduled for Saturday, New Year’s Day. For the first time, the annual Rose Parade will include a presidential-themed float. It’s in honor of former president Ronald Reagan’s 100th birthday, who served as California’s governor from 1967–1975.
It’s the biggest public celebration in America, but Times Square isn’t the only place that throws an awesome New Year’s Eve bash. In Paris, the French will transform the Eiffel Tower into a multicolored light show. Thousands of revelers will also cram the mighty Champs-Elysees, watching fireworks and drinking from their Champagne flutes.
