Paris Hilton on pot case: “I had nothing to do with it”
Hollywood socialite Paris Hilton has assured the public that the marijuana case lodge against her was a complete misunderstanding and that “everything is fine.”
Celebrity news source Us Magazine.com states that Paris posted in her twitter account: “I had nothing to do with it. There’s a lot of crazy rumors going around. Just want you all to know the truth. Everything is completely fine. I was not charged or arrested, cause I didn’t do anything. I was assisting the police with the investigation and answering their questions. Everyone was super nice and friendly to me. I love South Africa! Such an amazing place, especially during The World Cup! Hope that clears everything up. Love you guys, thanks for your concern. Xoxo P.”
The blonde heiress was reportedly taken into custody at the South African town of Port Elizabeth for alleged possession of marijuana as she watched the World Cup.
To date, the case against Paris had been dropped and no charges were made. A rep had also issued a statement on E On Line stating: “The authorities have apologized for wrongfully accusing her since she had nothing to do with the incident. Paris is having an incredible time at the World Cup.”
