Patrick Swayze dies at 57
Patrick Swayze, best known for his roles in films like “Dirty Dancing” and “Ghost,” has died after battling pancreatic cancer. He was 57.
Swayze died on Monday in Los Angeles, his publicist said. “Patrick Swayze passed away peacefully today with family at his side after facing the challenges of his illness for the last 20 months,” Annett Wolf said in a statement Monday evening.
The actor’s illness was diagnosed in January 2008.
Patrick Wayne Swayze ( August 18, 1952 – September 14, 2009) was an American actor, dancer and singer-songwriter. He was listed by People magazine as its “Sexiest Man Alive” in 1991.
