Paula Abdul, Simon Cowell to Reunite for “X-Factor”?
Simon Cowell and Paula Abdul could soon share judging chores anew following their stints on “American Idol.”
Cowell confirmed via Dateline that the 48-year-old Abdul is his personal choice as one of the judges for the U.S. version of his hit British talent show “The X-Factor.” “I’ve always wanted Paula. Always been very vocal about that. I missed her the second she left the show. Always loved working with her even though she can be a pain,” Cowell, 51, told Dateline’s Nikki Finke. “I don’t know what it is about her, but I’ve always clicked with her. You just have to get that chemistry, and she’s right. I’ve never found anyone better than her. I think there’s a good chance it will be her.”
Abdul’s “X-Factor” stint has still to be finalized, though, as Fox network is still negotiating with the multi-talented television personality. In addition to Abdul, Cowell revealed that he is also pushing for British celebrity and Girls Aloud singer Cheryl Cole as one of the judges. So far, only music executive Antonio “L.A.” Reid and Cowell himself have been confirmed as judges.
