Rumor has it that Paula Abdul is leaving American Idol develop her own TV project.

According to OK! magazine, Paula is planning her exit now that Kara DioGaurdi signed on. She is planning to focus completely on her new endeavor.

A Paula insider explains, “She knows that every season could be her last. Now she’s got a new secret venture that she’s really excited about.”

This week’s addition of Kara in the judging panel of American Idol have left some speculations, one of which says that the show will change their judge line-up.

Paula’s career had been refreshed last season with her and Randy’s collaborative hit single. Maybe this was Paula’s plan all along.
