The Amazing Race is the record holder for the most number of Primetime Emmy wins for Best Reality-Competition Program. They had won all the seven years since the award was introduced in 2003. There were calls that it should remove itself from the competition next year to allow other shows to win.

The host replied that there are other shows dominating and winning their respective categories year after year but are not being called to step aside. He was referring to The Daily Show with John Stewart (since 2003) and 30 Rock (since 2007). He noted however that it is difficult to judge between shows that have different formats but stressed out that it is all part of the competition.

Ask on who among the other reality show hosts he would like to be his partner if he is to play in his own show, he replied that generally, he would not actually like to go to a race with anybody.

But if there would be an instance he said that he would probably work well with Tom Bergeron (Dancing with the Stars) and Jeff Probst (Survivor) as he had previously worked with them in Fox. He doesn’t know Ryan Seacrest (American Idol) personally but he thinks they can work well together. But with Heidi Klum (Project Runway and Germany’s Next Top Model) he said he will probably be distracted.
