I feel sorry for the woman who jumped in the home of the Polar Bear. She was stupid to think that she could go in the home, disturb the animal and get away with it. She should get a big fine, not jail… A fine, she already got a month of jail in that cage with the Polar Bear. Im sure she learned her lesson. The Polar Bear was defending his/her home and didn't know any better… Polar Bears are either her favorite animal and wanted to get a closer look, or she was just stupid and that was the first thing that came to her head… So i kind of agree with everyone

Okay… This person was just plain Stupid! I do not know why she would climb a fence and make “Peace” with the Polar Bear… The Polar Bear was defending herself/himself and her/his home… Everyone knows how mean Polar Bears can be. If she was smart she wouldn't have jumped the fence in the first place she would not have been in a Hospital. She should have thought twice…

I so agree with everyone, it was not the polar bears fault who would be so stupid enough to jump in the home and of course they would attack i would if someone strange come into my home.
Way can’t zoo keepers realizes they need a better and bigger fence,And sorry for the ladie but really i hope you learn’t your leason you can’t going playing around in a bear’s home……

everyone that goes into zoo's thinks these animals are domesticated but they all have basic instincts to protect family and home. the woman is a idot of jumping the fence this is far from the bears fault. its also the zoo's fault for not keeping eyes on there more dangerous animals. This kinda thing happens every single day. so the zoo's need to build better fences or something.

I agree with “what really happened” – the title on this story should've been “Woman Attacks Polar Bear” or perhaps “Polar Bear Defends Family During Home Invasion”.

And to those of you saying this woman is obviously mentally ill, consider this: Millions of people have been whipped up into a frenzy over the plight of polar bears resulting from human destruction of the climate. This womans actions are the physical manifestation of that emotional frenzy. I would argue that she's not mentall ill, but mentally weak; and many of the world's leaders are in a hurry to lead us all to jump over a fence into dangerous territory.
