Premier League: Arsenal vs. Stoke City
The Gunners were defeated by Chelsea last time out and were knocked out of the Carling Cup in midweek. Today they will be seeking to bounce back to winning ways in the Premier League after back-to-back losses.
It’s now a month since the North Londoners even scored a goal, let alone earned a point in the EPL after defeats against the Black Cats and the Blues. So tonight the Potters will be up against it.
Meanwhile Arsene Wenger received good news on Friday that Robin Van Persie’s ankle surgery went well but the 26-year-old Dutch striker is still sidelined for up to five months.
Theo Walcott misses the game with a hamstring injury, but French right-back Bacary Sagna has recovered in time from an ankle problem.
The match kicks-off at 15:00 GMT.
UPDATE: The Gunners bounced back after two straight league defeats to beat Stoke City 2-0.
