Premier League: Chelsea vs. Aston Villa

The Blues will extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table to five points if they win this match, while a victory for Aston Villa and other results going their way could lift them into the top four.

Chelsea, who won seven of its first eight league matches, is certainly the better team in this matchup and football fans are leaning towards the away win. However, we don’t think they will have it as easy as the pundits suggest because Villa Park hasn’t been a good hunting ground for the West Londoners over the past few seasons.

Goalkeeper Petr Cech returns from suspension for Carlo Ancelotti’s side, while Michael Ballack is ruled out with an ankle problem. The injury was caused by a tackle from club-mate Yuri Zhirkov in Germany’s World Cup qualifying clash with Russia last weekend.

The match kicks-off at 12:45 p.m. BST (7:45 a.m. ET).

UPDATE: James Collins scored his first goal for the Villains to condemn Chelsea to a back-to-back away defeat following the 2-1 result at Villa Park.
