Premier League: Liverpool vs. Everton
Everton vs. Liverpool Live Stream—The Reds travel to Goodison Park to face cross-city rivals Everton with both sides scrabbling for form. Both squads are in huge need of a victory so the stake in this derby is pretty high.
Liverpool has been on a slippery slope recently, winning just one of their last six Premier League matches.
Rafa Benitez’s men are out of the Champions League and look set to battle it out for 4th place for yet another year. It is the first time in the Spaniard’s reign that the Reds have failed to reach the knockout stages of the tournament.
However, the Toffees are in much worse shape than many expected them to be— sitting in the second half of the EPL table.
Rafa will wait until the last possible minute to see if Fernando Torres will be fit to play this afternoon. If not, then David Ngog will most probably be his replacement.
Ryan Babel is still out with an ankle injury and Philipp Degen serves the final match of his three-game suspension.
As Liverpool continues to get struck by injury troubles, is Benitez still positive that he could pull his team out of hell pit?
UPDATE: The Reds defeated Everton 2-0 with Joseph Yobo’s own-goal and Dirk Kuyt’s late strike settling the 212th Merseyside derby.
