Liverpool vs. Manchester United Live Stream: Kenny Dalglish’s Liverpool side host arch-rivals Manchester United in today’s mouthwatering Premier League clash and Andy Carroll could make his much-anticipated debut at Anfield.
The Reds signed the 22-year-old striker from Newcastle in a club-record deal on transfer deadline day, but injury has deprived him of making an appearance for the Reds so far. Dalglish has included Carroll for the first time in his squad and could partner the England international with Liverpool’s other January signing, Luiz Suarez, up front.
“He hasn’t played a competitive game for two months but it is up to us as a group to ease him back in after all that time away,” Suarez said. “My impressions so far are that he is very tall, good in the air and has great feet. You have to remember that defenders here are very tall; that’s why the duels between them are very good to watch but I still don’t know how they are going to cope with him.”
The Reds are unbeaten in their last five home games, but United will be eager to bounce back from their 2-1 loss at Chelsea. The last time Liverpool and United met in the EPL was in September 2010 at Old Trafford which was won by the Red Devils, 3-2, courtesy of a brilliant hat-trick from Dimitar Berbatov. However, Liverpool have won the last two encounters at Anfield, and the Merseysiders are presently playing a pressure-free football, which might be an advantage against the stressed United.
Arsenal failed to close gap on Sir Alex ferguson’s side yesterday with a goalless draw against Sunderland but the title race is still wide open. United currently lead the Gunners by three points, but the North Londoners have a game in hand.
