Premier League: Manchester City vs. West Ham United
Tonight’s fixture in the Premier League is certainly an interesting one with big-spending Manchester City set to take on West Ham United.
The Hammers have been slow off the mark this season and are now in the relegation zone. They go into their clash with the Citizens having failed to win an EPL match since the opening day.
Yes, they played interesting football against Liverpool last weekend, but the extra attacking quality of the Reds was the deciding factor and that could be case in this match.
However, these two teams have outstanding shot stoppers. And in spite of their front lines being very well capable of creating chances, do not expect lots of goals to be scored.
City will yet again be without Emmanuel Adebayor. The Togolese striker is serving the last game of his three-match suspension but fans may finally get their first glimpse of Roque Santa Cruz.
The Paraguay international has been consigned to the sidelines since his £17million summer move from the Rovers after a knee surgery but he could be involved for the first time tonight.
The match kicks-off at 8:00 p.m. BST (3 p.m. ET).
UPDATE: Argentine striker Carlos Tevez scored two crucial goals for the Citizens as they comfortably eased past West Ham 3-1 at Eastlands.
