Premier League: Manchester City vs. Aston Villa
Manchester City and Aston Villa will meet this afternoon at Eastlands in a hugely important Premier League match that could possibly determine which team qualifies for next season’s UEFA Champions League.
Both sides sit directly below Tottenham and have big hopes of finishing fourth as the EPL gets ready for a thrilling climax. The Spurs are level on points with Martin O’Neill’s side, while the Citizens are a point further back in sixth.
“We will go to Manchester City with loads of confidence after taking 13 points from 15,” O’Neill said. “We know we have to win and the only way we have been able to do that is going at teams.”
The Villains are unbeaten in five games since they lost 7-1 at Chelsea, while City failed to score in recent home matches against Liverpool, Everton and Manchester United. O’Neill is confident his players will win their remaining two games as they have the second best away record in the league after the Red Devils.
The Match kicks-off at 15:00 GMT.
UPDATE: Manchester City came from behind to beat Aston Villa 3-1 and stay alive in the race for a Champions League spot.
