President Obama: The Path to the White House is a new book which features Callie Shell’s photography.

Shell began covering Obama for Time Magazine in 2006 when his traveling party numbered just three people in a van: the driver, Obama and herself.

Her pictures tell the president-elect’s private, unguarded side, his repose with his family, and capture the wonder and thrill his campaign generated.
