Queen Elizabeth II Will Not Meet With Middleton’s Parents Before Wedding
Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II of the United Kingdom will not be meeting the parents of her future granddaughter-in-law. However, Buckingham Palace said that it is not a snub.
“It is just that the Queen has not yet felt the need to meet Miss Middleton’s parents. At present there are no plans for her to do so in the run-up to the wedding but if she chooses to do so, it will be a private matter,” the palace further clarified.
The parents of the princess-to-be have already met with Charles, Prince of Wales and his wife Camilla, The Duchess of Cornwall.
Prince William of Wales and Catherine Elizabeth Middleton, who met in the university and who have been dating since 2003, will get married at Westminster Abbey on April 29.
Catherine has met with the Queen, at least briefly, during the wedding of William’s cousin Peter Phillips (son of Princess Anne) last May 2008.
