Rumors that Jennifer Hudson is pregnant have been circulating for a while, but now, according to Essence magazine, Hudson’s pregnancy is confirmed.

Despite denials by her publicist and manager, two sources close to the 27-year-old singer/actress confirmed to the mag that she is indeed expecting. This would be the first child for Hudson.

Hudson is engaged to David Otunga, a Harvard Law graduate and former contestant on reality show I Love New York 2, although no wedding date has been set.

The American Idol alum is currently on tour with Robin Thicke.  Their next show is scheduled for April 23rd at the Fox Theater in St. Louis, MO.
