Reporter breaks ‘unbreakable’ phone at CES (video)

A BBC reporter managed to break a mobile phone marketed as “unbreakable“, during a demonstration at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas, Nevada.

After plunging the device into a fish tank, Dan Simmons repeatedly smashed it onto the tank’s corner until the phone’s screen cracked.

The reporter didn’t say which Sonim model he was testing, although it was likely to have been the XP3.2 Quest Pro – the company’s newest handset.

WATCH:

Well, at least CEO Bob Plaschke took it with humor.
