Robbers Call In Ahead for Would Be Theft
In what could probably be one of the most stupid robbery plans ever done, two would be robbers phone in ahead at the bank where they plan to make their thievery.
Albert Bailey, 27, and an unidentified 16 year-old accomplice were caught by the police who were waiting for them at the parking lot of the People’s Bank in Fairfield, Connecticut. Both are residents of Bridgeport, Connecticut.
The call asked for the bank to prepare a bag of 100,000 dollars and even asked if they can get it without dye packs. A threat was made that there would be a “blood bath” if their demands were not met. The employee then called 911.
Fairfield police said that the two would be charged with first degree robbery and first degree threatening. The teenager was sent to a juvenile jail in the area. Bailey, meanwhile, is on probation for robbing another People’s Bank in Bridgeport way back in 2003.
