Scientists have fascination on putting up emotions with their robots. Unlike the KOBIAN emotional robot, researchers at University of California in San Diego have developed and currently improving their realistic Einsten robot.

The Einsten robot developed facial expressions through trial-and-error technique UCSD has dubbed “body babble”. The bot is linked to a facial recognition software where each time the robot achieved an actual expression, the computer receives positive feedback.

Einsten robot has a programmable 31 artificial muscles to achieve the facial expressions.
